Work Health & Safety Policy

Echo Construction Group is committed to meeting its duties under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Regulations in Queensland and New South Wales, and to ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of everyone involved in or affected by our work. This policy applies to all work carried out by Echo Construction Group Pty Ltd and to everyone working on our behalf, including subcontractors, suppliers and visitors to our work areas.

Our Commitments

We identify hazards and eliminate risks to health and safety, or where that is not reasonably practicable, minimise them.

We prepare a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) before any high risk construction work starts, and make sure the work is carried out in line with it.

Everyone carrying out construction work holds a general construction induction card (White Card) and any high risk work licence their work requires.

We provide the information, training, instruction and supervision needed for work to be done safely.

We consult with workers, and consult, cooperate and coordinate with principal contractors and other duty holders on site.

We provide suitable personal protective equipment, safe plant and equipment, and access to first aid.

We manage physical and psychosocial risks to health and safety.

We notify the regulator of any notifiable incident and preserve the incident site as the law requires.

We respect every worker's right to cease or refuse work they reasonably believe is unsafe.

Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for implementing this policy and making it available to everyone it applies to. Everyone working on our behalf must take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others, and follow reasonable safety instructions.

Review & Authorisation

This policy is reviewed whenever our work, our risks or the law changes. Authorised by the Director, Echo Construction Group Pty Ltd. Effective 1 October 2026.
